Sleep Tips
Improve Your Sleep Quality
Design a restful environment by keeping your bedroom cool, dark, and quiet. Consider using blackout curtains, earplugs, or a white noise machine to eliminate disturbances. The ideal temperature for your room is between 16 and 18 degrees.
Limit exposure to screens before bedtime. The blue light emitted by phones, tablets, and computers can interfere with your sleep cycle. Try reading a book or practicing relaxation techniques instead.
Create an evening routine: think about gradually dimming the lights, having a warm bath, reading a book, using essential oils or carrying out a sleep promoting hand reflexology routine. Find a routine that works for you

Consider regular therapies to help your wellbeing – there’s also a quick hand reflexology routine to help you relax in the Reflexology Zone.
Practice mindfulness meditation to stay present or deep breathing to help calm the mind. Look to write down at least 3 things each day you’re grateful for, as our brains are wired to protect us, so looking for positives can help our thinking.
Engage in regular physical exercise. Exercise releases endorphins, which are natural mood lifters. Whether it’s a brisk walk, yoga, or a workout session, find an activity that you enjoy.
Connect with friends and family. When we’re stressed and anxious we can have negative thoughts which may lead us to withdraw from loved ones. Spending time with people can help break feelings of isolation.
Think about what you’re eating and aim for a well-balanced diet. Look for ways to reduce sugary foods, caffeine, alcohol and smoking, which can increase stress and anxiety
Work on developing a sleep routine (see above!) Often, being stressed can affect our sleep quality and feeling tired can make it harder for our body to cope with stressors. There’s also a hand reflexology routine for stress and sleep you can try
