Indian Head Massage

A  Revitalising Escape for Body and Mind

Take a seat and forget about the world. Great for focus on head, neck and shoulder problems, an Indian head massage is also good for relaxation and balancing.

If you’ve never had a massage before and feel a little unsure about the idea of getting undressed, an Indian Head Massage can be a wonderfully gentle introduction to therapeutic touch. This treatment is ideal for anyone who wants to ease into massage in a way that feels completely safe, and comfortable, without feeling too exposed. It’s also an excellent option for people who already enjoy regular massage but want deeper focus on tension in the neck, shoulders, head, and upper back, arms and hands; areas where many of us carry stress without even realising it.

This therapy can also include elements of emotional and energetic balancing with a chakra balance. This can offer a more holistic experience for those looking to support both body and mind.

Indian Head Massage takes place while you sit comfortably in a chair, rather than lying on a massage table. The treatment covers the back, shoulders, upper arms, hands, neck, scalp, and face. These are all areas that can become tight from daily activities like working at a desk, driving, using devices, or simply dealing with the pressures of modern life.

The massage can be performed entirely through clothing, which people may find reassuring for their first appointment. Alternatively, for a deeper and more relaxing experience, you can choose to have the massage with oil. In this case, we can work with a simple, unscented oil, or you may choose one blended with essential oils for added therapeutic benefit. If you decide on the oil option, I will leave the room to give you complete privacy while you remove your top and wrap a towel securely around your chest.

A full Indian Head Massage also includes chakra balancing, a gentle energetic technique designed to help bring your mind and emotions back into harmony. Many clients find this to be a grounding and peaceful way to complete the session, helping them feel centred, uplifted, and ready to return to their day with a renewed sense of calm.

At the start of every appointment, we’ll take a few minutes for a short consultation. This allows me to understand what has brought you to the session and what you would like to get out of it. I’ll ask a few simple questions about any discomfort, stress, or specific areas of tension you’d like me to focus on, as well as any areas you’d prefer not to have massaged. We’ll also discuss whether you would like to incorporate chakra balancing and whether you prefer the massage over clothing or using oil. This conversation helps ensure that the treatment is tailored entirely to your needs, preferences, and comfort level. The approach is flexible so we can adapt each session depending on how you’re feeling on the day.

Whether you’re seeking relief from tight shoulders, aiming to reduce head tension or eye strain, or simply wishing to enjoy a quiet, restorative moment for yourself, this therapy offers a soothing and deeply nurturing experience. Each appointment is designed to leave you feeling lighter, more relaxed, and more connected with yourself. Many people find that after their therapy they feel restored on all levels.

Indian Head Massage is a beautiful way to pause, reset, and give yourself time to breathe. Whether it’s your first massage or part of a regular self-care routine, the experience is crafted to help you unwind, release accumulated tension, and step back into your day feeling refreshed, balanced, and ready to take on whatever comes next.
