As a massage therapist I’ve heard of many therapists who won’t treat men, or who have decided to give up the profession completely because of the lewd texts and calls that can be received.

I do treat men. I work with the men who have back problems, I see men who want relaxation because it helps keep their work stress in check. I book sessions for men who have shoulder stiffness, headaches, feet issues or constipation problems. Because men are people too and also need to look after themselves.

if you’re a man looking for a therapy, don’t be worried about getting in touch to book an appointment. The stigma associated around massage has long gone and you are just as entitled to receive support, so don’t let the thought of being considered a ‘dodgy guy’ put you off. Look for a professional therapist, there are many out there and they are absolutely fine with treating men – you’re part of our business. A professional massage therapist is someone who’s going to listen to what you need and provide a massage to support you, focusing on any muscular issues, just as we do without a second thought for women.therapy sessions for men

And if you’re someone who knows a man that you think would enjoy a therapy, why not buy him a gift voucher and give him an excuse to book one? You may just help  him get into a good habit.
